sassy saturday

Hello lovelies!

I have had an awesome and interesting weekend, and I am sooooooo excited to share with you a teeny little change in my life.....I'M A BRUNETTE! Hehe, I know that's not a big deal, but I've never been brunette (always blonde, once red, haha) so this is CRAZY strange and awesome to me. :)

I'm loving my new life, I love being married, I love my husband, and I love my new look and new focus on my passions.

Before!

After! Yay!

The other part of my weekend was buying more Victoria's Secret swag...I swear, I must be addicted, I've been there 4 times in 3.5 weeks, the lady who helps me knows my name, and I LOVE it. Not only are their bras SUPER nice (and actually comfy and supportive!) but their workout gear is awesome!

These pants are SUPER comfy; I have some bright colored ones too!

With a free perfume sample!

How cute is that tote?? SO addicted, so in love :)

Where do you buy your undergarments?
Where do you buy your sports clothing?

Have a great week, friends, and stay tuned for my #LoveBlog linkups for the month!

CHERYOMUSHKI!!!

See that? That title right thar? Yeah, that's Russian, hehe. ;)
Cheryomushki. Translation? Cherry Trees.

I'm in a show! Originally in Russian, now sung in English by Moores Opera House. This will be my first opera in Houston, so I am excited. As a chorus gal I get to wear a cute 50s dress, and a "construction worker" outfit. Yeah, you kinda need to see the show to get the ridiculousness of it :)

We started doing hair and makeup for the show, gotta love them curls!

I must've done really well with my hair last rehearsal when all the gay guys complimented it. That's big kudos for the opera world <3

I look like a box...but you get the idea. We're so manly =P

The famed hair with curls; wahoo!

Lovin that har. Forreals.

Come see Cheryomushki! (click the pic below for show details)

What era hairstyle should I try for funsies sometime? :)

That Time I Had Red Hair...Sorta...

I am not a rebellious person by nature. Since I've gotten to college, the most rebellious acts have probably been: wearing sneakers with my jeans (this bugs my mother immensely, so I have gotten it into my head that you just don't wear those together, except when you have 8am classes every day and run around campus too much...), skipping breakfast SOMETIMES (I love breakfast, I really do, so it pains me to admit to this rebellion...), and, well, dying my hair dark red was slightly rebellious. It wasn't even supposed to be a rebellious act. It was supposed to be me letting go and embracing the new future full of changes around me. Yeah, I dyed it the first day of college.

It stuck for a little while! This dress really brought it out :)

Well, my hair is typically blonde....therefore, it doesn't hold red very well, sadly.

My hair faded back into blonde again.

I loved the red, so, blonde coming back made me feel like my hair is actually the rebellious criminal here. It just does what it wants to!

Shortly before I came home for Christmas, I tried strawberry-blonde, and it sorta stuck. People said I had red hair; Dad called me "spaghetti sauce." Yeah.

But the strawberry blonde didn't show in pictures. I swear it was strawberry blonde on Christmas day. Nope, not gonna show up.

I'm considering being bold again. I'll wait til after my opera haha, I don't think Russians in 1952 had bright red hair ;)

What crazy things have you done with your hair?
